The Effect of Imperfect Quality Items in Some Inventory Models

Since the introduction of EOQ/EPQ model in the earliest decade of the last century, it is still widely used by many industries even today. But this traditional model contains many unrealistic assumptions. As a result, many research efforts have been directed toward the modification / extension of the EOQ/EPQ model. Most of the works did not consider the items with imperfect quality. In this paper, we develop a model in various situations. We also develop another model which considers fractional inspection. Moreover, in the economic production quantity(EPQ) model and continuous review inventory model, the effects of imperfect quality items to the order quantities are also investigated.
