In this study we consider the problem of planning system for Footwear industry. Due to the environmental change in market, delivery satisfaction to customers and reduction of lead time are critical in the make-to-order manufacturing system. It is difficult to schedule the production planning due to the complexities of the shoes production processes. This study presents an algorithm of the new planning system that satisfies the due-date and considers specialties of shoes productions process. The ratio of the delivery satisfaction has been improved from 54% to 84%, and the planning lead time has been reduced from 14 days to 2 days. Moreover, we achieved several side effects such as real time production planning and workload analysis, information sharing over all departments, and improved flexibility in receiving orders. The developed planning system with the algorithms has been introduced in this paper, and we implement the system in the actual shoes factory.
